Hi Jonathan,
Appreciate the note. The ideas everyone shared were among the most useful I've found in participating in and listening to myriad webinars. Perhaps we will do it again sometime.
Best,

As both a journalism student now focused on public relations and as a creative writer, I really appreciated this post for tying the two types of storytelling together because they really do have a lot in common. I think it's always important in strategic communication to have a plan or plotline and proper pacing to engage your audience.
The six tips are also very helpful for all writers to stay organized, get feedback and keep an open eye for all types of information that can help you pitch your idea.
PR practitioners have to be able to justify the newsworthiness of their client's story to journalists the way journalists have to do for their articles to their editors. If we hold up PR writing to those kind of professional standards of impact, relevance and credibility, it really will benefit the reputation of the organizations we are working for.
